Anantara Veli Maldives Resort reopened in December 2022 after an extensive renovation. The Adults-Only retreat now presents a new concept, six brand new Beach Pool Villas, as many Deluxe Over Water Pool Villas as well as the Spa focused. New York designer Yuji Yamazaki was responsible for the remodel and created a tropical look by using natural materials such as wood, stone and rattan. Guests can look forward to direct beach access, custom home comforts, private pools and extended terraces. The spa has also been expanded, including a Moroccan hamam, steam room, sauna, medical spa and five treatment suites. The gastronomic offer has also been expanded and now includes a new restaurant serving South Asian dishes, a modern Japanese restaurant and a poolside bar. The resort is located in the South Malé Atoll and offers unique luxury in the midst of untouched nature. A total of 67 accommodations are available.
