Historic building becomes a luxury hotel
The Radisson Collection Hotel, Santa Sofia Milan, is located in the former headquarters of Allianz Italia, an architectural masterpiece from the 1960s. The hotel is centrally located at the intersection of Via Santa Sofia and Corso Italia, between Piazza del Duomo and the famous Navigli canal district.
Spectacular redesign by Studio Marco Piva
After four years of careful planning and renovation work by the renowned architectural firm Studio Marco Piva, the former office building now presents itself as an exquisite five-star luxury hotel. The original Venetian trachyte facade was preserved and accented with new exterior lighting.
Urban loft atmosphere in the rooms and suites
The hotel’s 159 rooms and suites were designed by Studio Marco Piva as small urban lofts. Large windows and interior glass walls provide plenty of natural light, while custom furniture and a mix of natural materials like wood and leather reflect Milan’s distinctive style.
Elegant maximalism in the public areas
The design aesthetic of “elegant maximalism” dominates the public interiors designed by AtelierP and Alessandro Cesario. Bold geometric shapes and contrasting elements take guests on a visual journey through Milan’s history.

The hotel’s Sofia Kitchen & Bar restaurant is located in the building’s former courtyard and offers a diverse selection of Mediterranean dishes as well as international and European specialties. The modern bar attracts with an extensive wine list and refined Milanese cocktails.
ISSEI Rooftop – Fusion of Japanese and Peruvian Cuisine
In April 2023, the specialty restaurant ISSEI Rooftop will open on the seventh floor of the hotel. Here, guests enjoy Nikkei cuisine, a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian culinary styles, while admiring the breathtaking views of Milan from the rooftop terrace.
