Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates: New services in 2023

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and Qatar Airways recently reaffirmed their future collaboration at the Arab Aviation Summit. From November 1, 2023, the airline will operate daily services to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, expanding its connections to the emirate. In addition to the cooperation with Qatar Airways, RAKTDA has also reached an agreement with FTI Group to provide two weekly flights from Munich to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport starting in the fourth quarter of this year. These additional flight connections strengthen relations between Germany and the United Arab Emirates.

Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates as a major hub

More than two billion people live within a four-hour flight from the United Arab Emirates. As a result, Ras Al Khaimah has become an important transportation hub between Europe, Asia and Africa. Qatar Airways’ daily service from November 2023 underscores the emirate’s importance as a strategic hub.

Expansion of German connections

For many years, Germany has been one of the five most important source markets for visitors to the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The agreement between RAKTDA and FTI Group, which provides for two weekly flights from Munich to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, deepens these relations and promotes tourism between the two countries.
