The Chedi Al Bait: Luxurious extension of the Serai Wing

General Hotel Management Ltd (GHM), known for its stylish hotels and resorts worldwide, has announced the expansion of The Chedi Al Bait in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The new wing, Bait Khalid bin Ibrahim at The Serai Wing, is the result of a meticulous restoration of the former residence of early 20th century pearl merchant Khalid bin Ibrahim.

Heritage inspired architecture

The new wing will consist of two main houses spanning 1,000 square meters, adding 12 additional guest rooms and suites to The Chedi Al Bait. The space is ideal for customized group stays seeking a luxurious retreat. The wing’s architecture reflects traditional Emirati aesthetic elements such as high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and original brickwork.

Al Bait – A home away from home

Al Bait means “home” in Arabic. In keeping with this name, the new area offers guests a journey into the home of a family in 20th century Sharjah. The modern design of the accommodations in the two houses preserves the aesthetics of traditional architecture and residential design in the Emirate of Sharjah.
