It was a strong start that announced itself punctually with sunshine for the 16th Chiemsee Horse Festival. With over 10,000 enthusiastic visitors, it quickly became clear that this event is much more than just an equestrian tournament. A foal auction, a marquee full of dancing and laughter and the exciting “Jump & Drive” Challenge were among the many highlights that marked the first weekend. Not forgetting the Isingen market week, which invites you to shop and feast.
Star performances and impressive competitions
“I always enjoy coming to Ising,” enthuses Simone Blum, the 2018 Show Jumping World Champion. This statement only underlines the calibre of equestrian sport that is being held here. Indeed, international stars and top Bavarian riders on more than 450 horses competed for victory in various show jumping and dressage competitions. Worth remembering are the victories of Anja Steindl, local hero David Will and Tina Deuerer in the various jumping competitions.
