From September 8 to 10, 2023, Hamburg will once again be all about cruising: the Hamburg Cruise Days are returning! After a special edition last year, which took place in a reduced form due to the pandemic, visitors can expect a superlative festival this year. The event will feature impressive cruise ships and a high-quality, colorful land program, including the famous Blue Port Hamburg and spectacular event highlights such as the parade on Saturday evening. AIDA Cruises is once again a premium partner of the event.

During the three-day festival, nine cruise ships will be featured in the Hamburg Cruise Days Parade, Blue Port Hamburg and a diverse program ashore ranging from culture to culinary arts. Fans of cruises have long waited for this event and are invited to the Port of Hamburg from Friday, September 8 to Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Michael Otremba, managing director of the licensing Hamburg Tourismus GmbH:

“The Hamburg Cruise Days and the Blue Port Hamburg will create a unique atmosphere in the port. Guests and Hamburg residents will be able to experience the special fascination of sea travel and cruising up close, as is only possible in Hamburg.”

Cruise Days in Hamburg with many highlights

The highlight of the event will undoubtedly be the Great Hamburg Cruise Days Parade on Saturday evening, when five cruise ships will parade along the Elbe River in the evening. It is planned that premium partner AIDA Cruises will lead the parade with AIDAprima. The following ships are each accompanied by a fireworks sequence. As is tradition, the parade is hosted by actor Marek Erhardt and accompanied by music – and ends with a closing fireworks display. Other planned highlights of the event include harbor tours of the river cruise ships and the simultaneous departure of AIDAperla and AIDAsol on Sunday with music and moderation.
