Hapag-Lloyd Cruises once again rises to the zenith of the luxury cruise industry. In the latest edition of the renowned Insight Guide Cruising & Cruise Ships, formerly known as the Berlitz Cruise Guide, the company is awarded the coveted title of “Best Fleet Worldwide”.

In an impressive victory march, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has received top marks, for all of its five luxury and expedition ships. With over 340 ships rated by Insight Guide testers, the company’s luxury and expedition ships topped the list. No other company in the world has been able to achieve this impressive standard and thus secure the title of “best fleet worldwide“.
The new and improved cruise guide
Since 2019, due to the global pandemic, the former Berlitz Cruise Guide took a break. Now, however, it returns under a new name, Insight Guides Cruising & Cruise Ships, and is once again setting standards. The 39th edition of the independent cruise guide presents meticulous reviews of hundreds of ships and shipping companies worldwide. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the guide singles out Hapag-Lloyd Cruises as operating the best cruise ships in the world.
Awards and top positions
Particularly noteworthy is the EUROPA 2, which is considered the “best ship in the world” in the category of small ships. Not far behind follows her sister ship MS EUROPA. The boutique ships are dominated by the HANSEATIC spirit, closely followed by the new expedition ships HANSEATIC inspiration and HANSEATIC nature.
