Le Duc Tegernsee: The partnership between Althoff Hotels and top chef Christian Jürgens has created a remarkable era of culinary excellence. However, after many years of successful collaboration, they have decided to go their separate ways, looking back on an impressive history together.

Introduction of the innovative restaurant concept “Le Duc”

The Althoff Collection has teamed up with The Duc Ngo, a renowned chef and successful restaurant entrepreneur from Berlin, to present an exciting new restaurant concept. After the successful launch of “club l’indochine” at the Althoff Villa Belrose in Saint-Tropez last year, “Le Duc Tegernsee” is now set to establish Asian cross-over cuisine in Rottach-Egern.

Le Duc Tegernsee: Realization of a visionary concept

Le Duc Tegernsee is the continuation of the fine dining pop-up concept “Le Duc” by The Duc Ngo. Amidst the picturesque landscape of Lake Tegernsee, the restaurant awaits its guests from June 20, 2023, Tuesdays to Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., on the premises of the Überfahrt Gourmet Restaurant.

Commenting on the project, The Duc Ngo said, “I very much appreciate the partnership with the Althoff Collection and look forward to creating something new together. In my opinion, the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt is one of the best resorts in Germany and it appeals to me to enrich the versatile gastronomy with a fresh concept. Guests here are used to culinary Champions League and this presents an exciting challenge for me on the way to realizing my new Berlin gourmet restaurant ‘Le Duc’ later this year.”

The uniqueness of the Althoff Collection

The Althoff Collection, part of the umbrella brand Althoff Hotels, is Germany’s only owner-managed luxury hotel brand. It consists of five individual five-star properties, each offering a unique blend of world-class gourmet cuisine and premium beauty and spa treatments. These include renowned hotels such as the Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg near Cologne, the Seehotel Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern on Lake Tegern and the Hotel Villa Belrose in St. Tropez.

Future visions and philosophy of the Althoff Collection

The Althoff Collection, which plans to expand its portfolio to include the Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten in Stuttgart, is currently undergoing a phase of extensive renovation. The plan is to reopen in the summer of 2025.
