Mallorcan charm at the Albufera Resort

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, pioneers of sustainable tourism, unveiled the Iberostar Selection Albufera Resort in June. This is characterised by a modern, environmentally conscious design in Mediterranean style. Through the successful all-inclusive concept, the hotel chain is now expanding its offer in Spain.
Strategically located on the renowned Playa de Muro in the north of Mallorca, the resort is all about sustainability – an Iberostar trademark. This green retreat was created by redesigning two existing hotels in the bay of Alcudia, using the beauty of the adjacent Albufera Park as inspiration.
Iberostar is using solar panels and renewable energy to reduce its carbon footprint – a step towards its goal of being carbon neutral by 2030. Recycled materials were also used in the renovation and an innovative AI system reduces food waste. The interior design of the rooms honours the natural beauty of Mallorca.
In terms of cuisine, the resort convinces with quality and regionality. While the Kyknos Restaurant enchants guests with the essence of Greece, the Nopal Restaurant presents Mexican cuisine to perfection, supported by the skills of the Iberostar chefs. The Spanish restaurant Martinete and the bar Óliba, whose name derives from the Mallorcan word for “owl”, complete the gastronomic offer. The Star Café and the IceDream ice cream parlour complete the offer.
Guests of the resort enjoy seven different pools and have access to all facilities, regardless of their hotel choice. The Iberostar Selection Albufera Park is aimed specifically at families, while the Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa offers exclusive extras such as swim-up rooms and a roof terrace reserved exclusively for Star Prestige guests.
