Torre Melina Barcelona

Imagine waking up in a hotel where every corner is so carefully designed that you wonder whether you’ve landed in paradise after all. This must be exactly what it feels like to stay at the Torre Melina in Barcelona.

I haven’t been there in person yet, but the descriptions and pictures alone make my travelling heart beat faster. Let me take you on a mental journey through this spectacular hotel, which is located in the noble upper area of the Diagonal, right next to the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya.

A paradise in the centre of the city

The Torre Melina is far more than just another hotel in the city; it is a nod to history, named after a charming 12th century farmhouse. With its impressive 391 rooms, including 61 suites that promise pure luxury, and 18 flexible function rooms, it invites every visitor to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a while. Can you imagine walking through the soft, white sand in the morning, surrounded by the freshness of green trees, past rippling small lakes and ponds? And you’ll find all this in the centre of Barcelona!

Where luxury meets history

The design of the Torre Melina? Simply to fall in love with. This hotel, designed by Josep Fontserè i Mestre – yes, the same man who designed the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona – combines rugged beauty with a touch of luxury that meets every modern comfort. And then this roof terrace! Just imagine sitting up there, sipping your morning coffee or sipping a glass of wine in the evening with Barcelona at your feet.

Rooms that leave nothing to be desired

From cosy deluxe rooms to the three-storey RedLevel Royal Penthouse Suite with its own roof terrace – everyone will find their perfect room at Torre Melina. I find the One Bedroom RedLevel Long Stay Suites, which are equipped with a separate living room, a private bathroom and a small kitchen, particularly exciting. Perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to miss out on the cosy feeling when travelling.

Culinary journey through Barcelona

The Torre Melina also sets culinary accents. From Erre de Urrechu Barcelona, which tempts you with seasonal organic vegetables, wild fish and first-class meat, to Beso Pedralbes, which brings the flavour of the sea directly to you. Not to forget: Chroma by Erick Lorincz, a place that inspires with innovative cocktails. Here it seems as if you can experience the culinary diversity of Barcelona under one roof.

A hotel that promises more

What’s special about Torre Melina? It’s not just the feast for the eyes of its architecture or the pure luxury that awaits you. No, this hotel feels like a lively part of Barcelona, always ready to spoil you with culinary fireworks. It’s the perfect retreat – whether you’re travelling on business or just want to relax and unwind for a few days. Here, in the middle of nature and yet in the centre of the city, you will find your little paradise.

I can hardly wait to experience the Torre Melina for myself. The combination of historical charm, modern luxury and an unrivalled view of the city sounds just too tempting. Barcelona, see you soon!
