W Sydney

The newly opened W Sydney towers majestically over Darling Harbour and presents itself as an icon of modern architecture and luxurious comfort.

The design – A tribute to Sydney’s charm

Expressive and luxurious: Above Darling Harbour, with a curved exterior façade, rises the newly opened W Sydney. The design of the W Sydney is unmistakably inspired by its proximity to the harbour and beaches. With a colour palette reminiscent of the nautical world and corrugated walls, the hotel reflects the essence of Sydney. James Brindley, the London-based designer behind the interior, has created an atmosphere dominated by the “larrikin”, a typically Australian character. In addition, the copper-clad entrance area quotes underground Sydney and its disused railway tunnels. The Living Room, a central social meeting place, impresses with its unique circular bar and nest-like seating.

Culinary delights – A feast for the senses

Four new restaurants and bars on three levels spoil you with culinary delights and exclusive drinks. Under the direction of chef Chris Dodd, BTWN puts New South Wales produce in the spotlight. A special highlight is the “2AM: dessertbar“, which was created in cooperation with dessert luminary Janice Wong from Singapore. The Living Room focuses on sake, soju and Asian bites, while 29/30 and the WET Deck score with exclusive drinks and tapas.

Wellness and Events – A place of relaxation and inspiration

The AWAY Spa at the W Sydney offers not only relaxation but also an unparalleled atmosphere with five treatment rooms and special pods for beauty treatments. For the more active guests, there is the FIT Gym with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. For business travellers and event organisers, the hotel offers 1,300 square metres of event space spread over eight rooms and is just a stone’s throw from Sydney’s International Convention Centre.
