With the XNH, ABT presents an innovative vehicle concept that perfectly matches the current trend and represents a premiere in the company’s more than 125-year history. The XNH is the first camper developed by the people of Allgäu and is not only able to compete with the best in its category, but also represents a unique option. ABT, together with renowned partners in the industry, has converted a total of 500 VW T6.1 and equipped them with many unique details and features to realize the camping conversion. The ABT brand stands for innovation leadership, emotionality and premium character in every detail and this is also evident in the ABT XNH, which as a modern and high-quality vehicle has hardly any competition in this segment.
The name ABT XNH stands for “Explore New Horizons” and appeals to all those who want to expand their horizons and for whom maximum comfort is the ultimate form of freedom. Managing partner Hans-Jürgen Abt is enthusiastic about the camping upgrade and emphasizes that the ABT XNH is a perfect choice for anyone who values comfort and freedom in equal measure. The ABT XNH can certainly keep up with other legendary complete vehicles from the Allgäu in terms of exclusivity, lightweight construction and wow factor. The attractive aero kit includes front grille, front and rear aprons, side moldings and distinctive foiling with height meter lines. A real highlight are the 18-inch XNH rims specially designed for the vehicle in a classy glossy black finish, which are fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
Wow factor with the ABT Camper
The heart of the ABT XNH is considered to be the camping conversion, which was designed by the renowned company VANING GmbH. The design furniture is functional and classy at the same time and has a high-quality finish even in the non-visible areas. For the surfaces, scratch-resistant and easy-care HPL meets hand-picked real wood panels. The wall cladding consists of homely flocked and lightweight GRP moldings made specifically for the project. The assembly of all components is carried out by Volkswagen Group Services GmbH, which is a specialist in special vehicle construction. The ABT XNH is a real highlight of the extremely popular series. With its space advantage and spacious kitchen, it is perfect for camping trips and road trips. Five seats here meet a spacious kitchen with two-burner induction cooktop, refrigerator and table. In addition, there is a pull-out outdoor kitchen with gas stove in the rear. The self-sufficient power supply ensures that you are independent and flexible even far away from civilization. Thanks to the highly effective thermal insulation made of sheep’s wool and recycled material, the ABT XNH is not only environmentally friendly, but also particularly cozy and warm.
ABT e-Line, the experts for electric mobility, have incorporated their know-how into the concept of the ABT XNH. They have already put many successful projects on the road and are now also setting new standards in the camper van sector. Production of the ABT XNH will begin in May 2023 at Volkswagen Group Services GmbH in Hanover. We are excited about the first models and look forward to seeing the ABT XNH on the road.
