From spring 2025, the gastronomic offering in Berlin’s TV Tower will undergo a fundamental transformation that will take the capital’s iconic landmark to unrivalled heights of hospitality. With the involvement of Tim Raue, one of Berlin’s most renowned top chefs, the revolving restaurant Sphere, located at a dizzying height of 207 metres, will undergo an innovation of revolutionary proportions.
The restaurant, henceforth known as Sphere by Tim Raue, promises to be a highlight not only because of its prominent position, but also because of its symbiosis of regional products and the skilful reinterpretation of Berlin culinary classics.
A new interpretation of Berlin/Brandenburg cuisine
The announcement of this partnership marks the beginning of a new era for the Berlin TV Tower, which has reinvented itself since 2020 with a complete makeover of the foyer, the introduction of VR experiences and the remodelling of the Sphere Bar. Tim Raue’s takeover of the culinary management at Sphere now adds the final building block to Berlin’s tallest building for an all-round perfect visitor experience.

Tim Raue is an icon of top gastronomy, whose restaurant has been awarded two MICHELIN stars and five toques in Gault&Millau and ranks on “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants” list. His attachment to Berlin, coupled with his passion and recognition, makes him the ideal choice for this project.
“The TV tower is Berlin’s highest landmark and, with its revolving Sphere restaurant, is home to the highest restaurant in a building in Germany. As a Berliner, this partnership gives me the wonderful opportunity to unite my city, my origins and our surrounding area in culinary terms,” explains Raue.

The Sphere by Tim Raue restaurant will spoil guests with culinary delights throughout the day from spring 2025. From breakfast to sandwiches, currywurst, coffee and cake to evening dishes such as Königsberger Klopse, Berliner Schnitzel and Soljanka – everything is served with a contemporary twist. Raue attaches great importance to working with local producers and a selection of drinks made from German products.
