Leading hotel groups IHG Hotels & Resorts and Zeal Hotels present the first joint project: the voco Zeal Exeter Science Park. As the first hotel of its kind, it strives to be carbon neutral along its entire life cycle, a pioneer in the industry. The signing of this pioneering agreement took place at the prestigious International Hotel Investment Forum in Berlin.

Sustainability goals: Net Zero Carbon Criteria

The voco Zeal Exeter Science Park, scheduled to open in 2024, follows the UK Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon criteria. IHG Hotels & Resorts, with more than 6,000 properties in over 100 countries, is committed to helping hotel owners decarbonize their facilities while ensuring profitability and protecting long-term shareholder value.

voco Exeter Science Park: A hotel with a view to the future

With 142 rooms and a location in the picturesque city of Exeter, close to the airport and the M5, voco Zeal Exeter Science Park is operated by Valor Hospitality. With amenities such as a restaurant, bar, gym, gardens, meeting rooms and numerous car charging stations, it caters equally to leisure and business travelers.

The hotel is located in the heart of the Exeter Science Park, which when completed will house science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medical businesses in approximately 822,000 square feet.
