Benjamin Chmura: The new master chef at Tantris and Tantris DNA
Benjamin Chmura, former chef at the famous Tantris restaurant, is now climbing even higher. At just 33 years old, he takes over the complete management of the kitchens at the Tantris restaurant and Tantris DNA.
Benjamin Chmura: Tradition and innovation
Under Chmura, the concept of the à la carte restaurant Tantris DNA will be continued. In addition to classics of Tantris cuisine, guests will continue to be treated to dishes of French Grande Cuisine. The exquisite menu will continue to feature highlights from Tantris’ 50-year history, including creations by top chefs Eckart Witzigmann, Heinz Winkler and Hans Haas.

In the future, too, the focus will be on what has always distinguished Tantris and Tantris DNA: first-class craftsmanship, outstanding service and the most exquisite products. A treat for all the senses that guests can enjoy both at lunch and dinner.
The star chef: Benjamin Chmura
Benjamin Chmura, a native of Canada, has had a remarkable run since arriving at Tantris Restaurant in July 2021. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon in 2010, his path took him to various cuisines around the world. From the Auberge de l’Ill in Illhäusern to the Troisgros restaurant in Roanne, he has honed his knowledge and skills. In March 2022, he was finally awarded two Michelin stars.
The vision of Tantris Maison Culinaire
Starting June 15, 2023, the redesigned Tantris Maison Culinaire will be open Wednesday through Saturday. It is a tribute to Fritz Eichbauer, who brought haute cuisine to Munich 50 years ago. Today, the legacy is carried on by his son Felix Eichbauer and his wife Sabine. Tantris Maison Culinaire combines the Tantris and Tantris DNA restaurants and the Tantris bar under one roof and is intended to function as a whole. A unique culinary experience that redefines pleasure.
